5 Iconic beauties nailing night-time glamour
KOBOX, the UK’s coolest boutique boxing gym, has just opened its second studio in the City of London.
‘KOBOX is a serious workout but anyone can do it,’ says founder Shane Collins. ‘We’re making boxing accessible to people who want to get fit, but don’t want to get hit. We want people to have fun, sweat lots and feel empowered after every class.’.
There to celebrate the launch, was one of my favourite supermodels Jourdan Dunn, who had just completed her own KOBOX workout led by her personal trainer brother Antoine.
Despite having endured a 50 minute intense workout, she looked just as stunning as ever – seriously this is no word of a lie…superior genetics are at play here. So what are her Supermodel Body workout secrets? “I love boxing workouts with my brother – he’s a great trainer, he pushes you in the right way, “ she says. “I do like to do a variety of exercises, I’ll mix in some Pilates and Barre workout too – so there is a balance.”
Located at 85 London Wall, EC2M 7AD, KOBOX offers 50-minute classes of heavy bag boxing and strength training.
To book a class or for more information call your chosen studio on 020 7628 9688 (City of London) or 020 7589 8746 (Chelsea).

Candles are the one gift I never tire of receiving and giving – who doesn’t love a luxe holiday scented votive? They make a sterile hotel room feel cosy and a home feel instantly joyful.
Comforting and inviting aromas that make you want to snuggle under a blanket.
Une Nuit Chez Diptyque
Five festive flavours (pomander, benjoin, opopanax, amber and feu de bois) in one set of minis-perfect to scent combine or burn a different one in separate rooms. (And it looks gorgeous enough to make wrapping optional!)
Cire Trudon Bethlehem
Amber and spice are such a dream combo and this candle looks utterly gorgeous when it burns down as it shines through the metallic reflective glass.
Byredo Saints Candle Incense
Powerful and aromatic, thanks to a strong base of patchouli, balanced by refreshing eucalyptus and of course, incence.
D.S. & Durga Portable Fireplace
yes the smoky smell of hot crackling wood inspired this true to life spirit of a roaring fire.
Bella Freud Fairytale of New York
the cool, modern look of this candle belies its snug and cheerful aroma of musk, tobacco flower and coriander.
It doesn’t all have to be about spicy, enveloping scents – I love these for their cool, outdoorsy vibe.
Molton Brown Fabled Juniper & Lapp Pine Seasonal Candle
evokes an authentic walk through a Nordic winter wonderland.
Miller Harris Hope & Joy
subtle, light and with a hint of sweetness thanks to the essence of fig.
Jo Malone Pine & Eucalyptus Luxury Candle
bright pine needles takes centre stage and the tiniest touch of eucalyptus adds extra bite.
Tom Daxon White Narcissus
as is to be expected of Tom Daxon, this is the exact opposite of traditional: a dreamy floral with faint woody base..truly intoxicating.
Jo Loves Christmas Tree
a realistic interpretation of a picture perfect fresh-from-the-woods pine tree.
I’m not really what you’d call a fashion girl. My style is pretty consistent. I don’t follow trends slavishly – I know what suits me and tend to stick to a pretty classic style: I wear jeans, t-shirts, blazers and shirts with ankle boots. Those are the building blocks of my wardrobe. But then I’ll add in bits her and there to keep it current and keep me from getting bored.
I definitely follow my own rules and sense of style rather than whatever is trendy right now. Here’s a bit more about my approach to dressing:
My Style in Three Words:
Understated, comfortable and timeless.
Jeans, jackets and trainers.
Isabel Marant, Saint Laurent and Chanel.
Top High Street Stores:
H&M and Zara.
What you’ll never see me in:
Hot pants and crop tops.
Black jeans, biker boots, silk equipment shirts.

On my Shopping list:
Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps
My Annoushka zodiac necklace. (I’m an Aries)
Most treasured item:
My grandmother’s ring.
David Gandy for M&S white men’s crew neck tees.
Heels or Flats:

The Essentials that will take me through Autumn
1 The Men’s Cashmere Sweater
I buy one new crew-neck cashmere sweater every year as soon as M&S gets its delivery in store – I always buy the men’s version because they have that slouchy, oversize look I love. I think M&S cashmere is such good quality, plus you can throw them in the washing machine. Navy is my classic staple. M&S Collection Luxury Pure Cashmere Crew Neck Jumper.
2 The Jewel-toned Boots
An easy to walk in no-nonsense block heeled boot in a plush royal blue velvet. I love this pair by Tabitha Simmons Micki Nubuck-trimmed Velvet Ankle Boot.
3 The Oversized Bomber
Keeps out the cold and wind – I love the coolness of this slightly longer (cue butt covering) style and the slouchy style. &other stories Oversized Bomber Jacket.
4 The Animal Print Flat
I love an animal print – while leopard print is ubiquitous, I’m into the monochrome zebra print right now and it will still be relevant next spring. A flat pointy boot also has a cool 80’s vibe that I’m loving and it works as well in the daytime as it does in the evening. Isabel Marant Rolling Zebra-Print Calf Hair, Suede and Leather Ankle Boots.
5 The Red Turtleneck
I usually shy away from colour, but I’m really into this primary shade at the moment. Thin turtlenecks are great to layer under thick jumpers and they keep my neck warm. JCrew.
6 The Military Coat
I fell in love with this Primark Army Green Coat the moment I laid eyes on it. The structure, cut and fit make it feel far more luxe than the price-tag. Primark Khaki Long Military Style Jacket.
7 The Forever Bag
Rather than the latest it-bag, I’ve always been more into never-out-of-style classics. And the one I’ve had my eyes on the longest is the Chanel 2.55 in black leather with a gold chain. It’s a serious investment, but definitely has that timeless appeal. Chanel Medium 2.55, £3620
8 The Track Pant
I love being comfortable and this streamlined navy track pant feels as comfy as my fave jogging pants but is actually suited to outer wear (as in out of the house wear!) I’ll pair it with an oversize cashmere sweater for day and heels plus a tailored blazer for night. ME+EM Side Stripe Jogger.
9 The Glitter Socks
There is never much sparkle to be found in my wardrobe, but I was instantly attracted to these ankle socks. They look really cool peeking out from a low ankle boot. &other stories Silver Shimmery Socks.
10 The Velvet Suit
I love wearing suits, especially in the evenings. They are boyish, yet sexy and in a sea of dresses, it’s a standout. This emerald velvet style is so sumptuous and alluring – I’ll be wearing it to death. Frame Le Velvet Mod Blazer in Spruce and Le Velvet Cropped Flared Trousers in Spruce.
