Today I bring you a classic Sunday Facial. A way to relax and unwind at home. A chance to offset some of the stresses and anxieties these turbulent times may be causing you.

Step 1: Cleanse

It’s been an indoor no makeup or sunscreen day. Regardless, I still want to cleanse my skin from the elements that living in an urban environment with indoor pollution can bring. The Lixirskin Electrogel Cleanser* is such a good all rounder to cleanse and condition. I massage the cream formulation into my skin with damp hands.

Step 2: Treat

5am wakeup calls are the norm for me but lately my sleep hasn’t been the most restful. I feel exhausted but so does my skin. This Sunday Facial is going to counteract that. Starting with the Rodial Dragon’s Blood Jelly Eye Patches*. I love the texture and how cooling and soothing they feel. They hydrate and take that prickly feeling away from around my eyes.

With the eye patches on, I reach for the Pietro Simone Bio-Perfector Mask. This is a new product for me. I recently had a facial with Pietro himself and it was phenomenal. The massage was incredible and I loved this mask that he used. So, this is me trying to recreate some of that skin goodness in my own at-home facial. I adore this cream mask which is a power blend of peptides, antioxidants and a little malic acid for gentle exfoliation. It feels amazing on the skin.

After 15 minutes, I remove my masks and mist my skin with the Odacite Rose Nerolie Hydra Treatment Mist*. I love mists that aren’t mostly water and have hydrating properties to help retain moisture in the skin. Whilst my skin is still damp I apply my eye cream. The area around the eyes is so much thinner so I like to provide that support first. I’ve been using the Sisley Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid*. It has a ceramic applicator – you just press and the product comes out. It glides easily around your eye contour and feels amazingly cooling on the skin. No matter the eye cream you use, that massage is vital. It helps with puffiness and boosts the micro-circulation.

I’m still loving the Estee Lauder Brightening Treatment*. I’ve been using this for awhile now and I can really see that the pigment around the sides of my face have lessened. I apply ANR first and then the treatment. Read my in-depth thoughts about it here. It really is a long game using treatments like this, consistency is key. Make sure to take it along the hairline and down the neck as well.

Step 3: Hydrate

The Biossance Repair Cream* is my moisturiser of choice today. The formulation is the perfect balance to maintain and protect your skin barrier. It is nothing super sticky or heavy.

I always remember to take all my products down my neck. I was talking to my mom about her skincare tips, for some mother’s day newsletter content, and she advises on using a neck and chest cream. She noticed that on approaching menopause the skin especially around the neck, thins and gets drier. It’s not something I’ve done much in terms of using a product targeted to this area. So, I’m trying the QMS Firm Density Neck & Bust Cream* (my mom approves and recommends this). She wishes she started with her neck earlier so this is me taking her advice.
