This is the ultimate Alex Edit. My greatest skincare products of all time. My most loved and the ones I always go back to and always repurchase. These are the staples in my skincare routine.

You probably already know this but my favourite makeup remover is the Garnier Micellar Water* – just not for eye makeup removal. Garnier never fails me or breaks me out. It’s a gentle and affordable formulation.
Collosol Eau de Lait* is a water-milk cleanser that I used to buy in French pharmacies. It feels like a toner but I put it on a reusable cotton pad to cleanse my skin gently in the mornings. Or if I’ve had a heavy makeup day I’ll end the cleansing phase of my skincare routine with this.
You know I love a face mist! My number favourite is the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray*. It has glycerin and aloe so it’s a great blend for everyday use. On the whole, the Moisture Surge range is brilliant for dehydrated/thirsty skin.
Dr Sebagh Exfoliating Mask* is the best exfoliator, skin smoother and polisher. I use the sensitive skin version and it is a phenomenal chemical style peel that provides a good deep clean.
I do love a good face mask, especially a hydrating one. My number one hydrating mask is the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask*. It feels like a balm on the skin – so soothing, plumping and comforting. Many makeup artists actually use this before makeup to prep a good skin base and I can vouch for this working well if you have dry skin.
Another hydrating mask that I love is the QMS HydroFoam* one. QMS is a German brand that my mom introduced me to. Honestly, I fell in love with this mask the first time I used it. It pumps out like a shaving foam and leaves my skin feeling like silk afterwards. It’s a wash off mask but I also like to let it sink in and leave it to work its magic overnight.
It will be of no surprise that Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex* is a skincare product I rate highly. The one I’ve used the most consistently for years. I’m 100% convinced that in terms of hydration, plumpness, and a healthy skin barrier, ANR has been partly responsible for keeping my skin in good condition. If I was only allowed one product then this is the one I’d want to have. Following on from that is the ANR Eye Cream*. It is a gel-cream texture that’s super light and helps soothe my puffy eyes. I’m such a fan of this ANR duo.
My all time favourite moisturiser is the La Mer Moisturising Cream*. It’s quite rich so perhaps not for oily skins. For my dry skin however, I rely on it. It gives me a glow and protects my barrier especially when I’m in colder climates like back in Austria.
The Biossance Squalane Oil* is a newer addition to my skincare staples but it has already made its way into my hall of fame. I’m so impressed by this brand from their ethos to how they make their products. Squalane is one of my favourite ingredients. I love that it’s a non-oily oil so even if you have big pores or oily skin you can use this. It’s not greasy at all. I’ll apply this as a final step after moisturiser (before sunscreen) to lock in that moisture and prevent water loss.
The final product is for self-tanning. I absolutely adore the Tan-Luxe Sleep Oil*. This formulation has skincare benefits so it’s not drying at all. The DHA is counterbalanced with nourishing oils. It’s brilliant! You can read about my full self-tanning and maintenance routine here.
