The most iconic hair products of all-time
What makes a product a true standout? Mainly that it works, but also that it stands the test of time. I struggle with styling my hair – it’s not a particular skill set of mine. More often that not, I’ll attempt a look, fail miserably and then throw it all up into a haphazard bun or ponytail. But I’ve learnt that even someone as amateurish as me, can achieve something pretty decent when using the right products, because they can make all the difference.

1 Christophe Robin Instant Volumizing Mist with Rose Water* I have an aversion to anything sticky – this lightweight mist, not only smells of fresh aquatic roses, but also delivers lightweight root boost.
2 Kerastase Masquintense* The gold standard of all deep hair treatments – it transforms tattered strands by restoring shine, sealing in moisture and padding out the holes in damaged hair’s cuticles.
3 Pantene Smart Pro-V Repair and Protect Shampoo* I like everything about this shampoo. Even though I try loads of other way fancier ones, I always come back to this. It gives dull hair a life, makes it clean and glossy, plus I love the smell.
4 Klorane Tinted Dry Shampoo* I reach for this whenever I need a flat-hair fix. It boosts body at the roots and because it has a brown tint, it doesn’t make my hair look chalky unlike other dry shampoos.
5 L’Oreal Paris Elnett* The ultimate hairspray you’ll find in EVERY hairstylist’s kit. It’s weightless, yet delivers super strong hold without any crispy stickiness – magic!
6 Kiehl’s Crème with Silk Groom* My hair is not exactly frizzy – but it likes to pouf. I spread this through wet hair from mid-length to ends and then twist it into a low bun and let it all air–dry. The result? Perfectly undone waves.
7 Ouai Soft Mousse* When I need a bit of oomph, but don’t want my hair weighed down I reach for this mousse. It enhances my natural hair texture yet isn’t heavy or worse, crunchy.
