My Party Nails Edit

When it comes to nails, I only ever go for three options: neutrals, power reds or almost black deeps. That’s it. I like to be simple, classic and chic – nail art is so not my thing. But for parties I do like to switch it up a notch with luxe metallic finishes, high shine glitters and chromed-out textures.

The good news is that polishes with metallic particles have more staying power than plain lacquers.
Dramatic colours, especially glitter polishes look chicer on shorter nails that don’t extend beyond the fingertip with a rounded square shape.
And deeper shades call for precision – base coat to prevent yellowing of the nail bed is non negotiable, followed by two coats of polish and a shiny topcoat (deep shades look more elegant when they have a high gloss finish).
