These are my summer makeup staples. My most reached for products to deliver a brilliant fresh skin glow for summer days and nights. Choosing lightweight, sheer makeup textures that build up and blend effortlessly, warming my complexion and letting my skin still shine through.

I always start with an easy, sheer base. A tinted moisturiser that acts like a second skin offering light, blendable coverage with a fresh, dewy finish. I’m currently obsessed with the La Mer Skin Tint SPF30* which delivers a refreshing, radiant skin glow with subtle coverage to even out my skin tone and brighten my complexion. It’s all about an effortless base that hydrates and plumps, awakening the skin with a fresh, healthy finish. Check out my most loved tinted moisturisers for more options.
Sheer, summer textures means choosing a lightweight concealer that’s not going to sweat off. I love the Shiseido Synchro Skin Gel Concealer* which blends beautifully under the eyes. Super hydrating and offers good coverage whilst not being as thick as a cream concealer.
When it comes to blush and bronzer I’ve definitely found my staples for the season. The new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer* adds warmth to my complexion and a soft, pore-blurring matte finish. A fool-proof sunkissed look! For blush, I’ve been loving the sheer, pretty buildable colour of By Terry’s CC Blush in Rosy Flash*. Here, you can browse my top summer bronzers and cream blushes for the season.
Layering a creamy base on the eyelids will anchor eyeshadow and act as a primer helping it last longer. I love the Rodial Eye Sculpt* as its taupe shade adds tone and definition to my eyes. For a spark of colour, I’ve been loving the 11:11 palette by Roen*. I adore these pressed powders that look like gems and give a beautiful gleam around the eyes. They also apply easily with your fingers.
Whilst I love glowy, dewy skin, there’s a difference between that and a sweaty shine from the summer heat. I will always highly recommend the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder* to counteract this. It truly is the powder for people who don’t usually like to use powder and often associate it with cakey skin. By Terry’s Hydra Powder removes excessive shine without drying out the skin. It’s completely clear and applies translucent so works well across skin tones offering a soft finish to the skin. I like to apply this on the hot spots where I sweat and get really shiny (especially around the center of my face). A hydrating powder, something you wouldn’t think is possible, but is a brilliant innovation. Also now available in a new pressed powder format* if, like me, you find loose powders a bit messy.
Sometimes, I’m just looking for a “my lips but better” instead of a bold summer lip shade. The Ciate Revitalising Lip Oil* is so lovely and offers a beautifully conditioning sheen and gloss to the lips.
